As you can see on the left hand side, the screen shot shows you a quick look at the online hockey shop.

This allows you to click on the kitted player on the left (NHL's Alexander Ovechkin) and depending on the area you have selected, it will then show the equipment that is for sale. Hope that this feature offers all those in the local sport to buy and sell hockey kit as needed.

To view the online shop click here (it will open in a new window) and to sell your kit click here (to email your equipment list for sale)

Newsletter 1 - 2011 Season
26 Jan 2011
Compliments of the season to you and we hope your 2011 is a good one.

As you know our Seniors, Ladies and U18 National teams are all starting/and or continuing their training for the World Championships in South Africa, Iceland, and Mexico City respectively.  We wish all our National teams good luck with their training  over the next couple of months.

The exco committee has been extremely busy with preparations for the IIHF Senior Championships which we are hosting in Cape Town at our very own Rink at Grand West.  We will be appealing to members for support and help over the next few months.  We do need assistance to make this a very well run tournament.

One of our targets for 2010/2011 is to promote and develop Ice Hockey at root level to ensure that there are sufficient youngsters entering the sport.

Part of our promotion started during the December school holidays, a recruitment drive and takes place this Sunday  morning the 30th Jan at 08h30 for an hour.  3 of our U18’s have been recruiting possible hockey players and there will be an open Sunday for these recruits to attend a hockey lesson.  Boot hire will be open for these kids. Thanks to you Toni Stringer and her team.

Next  drive will be Sunday the 6th Feb at 08h30, whereby we appeal to junior players (members) to bring along a friend or relative that would be interested and committed in playing ice hockey - we would appreciate parents assisting their children in this regard.
We invite all juniors to bring along their friends/relatives to the ice Rink.  Once again boot hire will be open for them to get skates and we will provide whatever equipment we can for them. So if you have spare equipment at home and are bringing a friend or relative, please bring along your spare equipment for them. Thanks Hammy and team.....

The next event will be Monday 7th Feb, so watch this space....... Madeline and Deen are working on this project of targeting schools close to the rink.  This will be an exhibition game featuring all National squad players and International players.  These school kids will be invited to attend this match by way of complimentary entry.

Our AGM will be held on the 13th February at 09h00 in the upstairs boardroom.  Please make an effort to attend and there will be practice this week for all members although official registration will be on Sunday the 20th February.  All registration forms will be on the website for downloading.  Please give us a week to change the dates on the forms before downloading.

We look forward to a great year of hockey.
