Team SA in the history books

22 December 2023

Well done Team South Africa, history has been made!
The first ever African country to take part in the Olympic Qualifications for Ice Hockey, Team South Africa enjoyed a great trip to Iceland where they took part in the Round 2 stage of Group K Qualifications against Bulgaria, Iceland and Estonia. A slow start for Team SA saw them losing to Iceland in the opening game but in their second game playing against Estonia who is 28 positions above, had a great game with a 9-2 defeat but the only team to score again them too. The final game was an outstanding performance by Team SA as they beat Bulgaria 4-1. Well done Team SA!!!
