The 2010 season will officially start on Sunday 21st February 2010 at 8.30am.
Beginners and Try-out Courses
Four- week courses are available for beginners at a cost of R200 per person.
Included in the price is the hire of skates, stick, gloves and helmet. It also covers admission to the ice rink and professional coaching.
You will have to complete an indemnity form and registration form before being allowed access to the ice.

N.B. forms for minors must be signed by parent/guardian.
Normal beginners’ courses are held on Sunday mornings between 8.30am and 9.45am.

2010 SEASON OPENING SPECIAL!!!!!!!!
From the month beginning 21st February 2010 only, you will receive one additional hours coaching on a Monday evening between 6.30pm and 7.30pm at no extra cost!
At the end of the course, the choice will be yours if you wish to continue learning. You will then be required to pay Registration fees and the full membership fee which totals R2800 for the whole season, which lasts until November 2010.
Payments can be made monthly and the advantages of being a full member are listed below:
- Full access to practice sessions on Sundays
- Placement in one of the three teams playing in the league games which take place on Monday evening.
- Access to any ice hockey camps/schools held in W.P. [there may be a nominal additional fee for this to cover expenses ]
- Opportunity to be considered for Provincial Team/National Team
- All administration services
- All referee and official costs
- Coaching from full time International professional coach.
Equipment purchase
Western Province operate a second hand/used equipment shop to assist with those starting out. Prices are exceptionally good and equipment of acceptable safety standard is available.
The Ice Station also has a PRO SHOP where equipment can be purchased new.
We recommend that you speak to the coach to get the right advice and guidance.
